           How to Make Modak Recipe




Ingredients:

1 cup grated jaggery
2 cups grated coconut
2 tbsp elachi powder
3 tsp ghee
1 cup rice flour
1 cup water
1 tsp salt


How to Prepare Modak Recipe:

1. Take the pan heat with 1 tsp ghee. Then add the Jaggery and coconut powder. Mix the mixture well until both blend together.
2. Cook the mixture till the jaggery melts into the liquid and the mixture turns into thick.
3. Then add the elachi powder, stir well and switch off the flame. Kept aside.
4. Take the bowl, add the 1 cup water to boil. And add the salt and 1 tsp ghee.
5. Boil the water. After boiling switch off the stove, add the rice flour. Mix well.
6. Press the mixture with the thumb finger. Make the mixture into smooth and soft dough.
7. If the dough is dry add some water with fingers. Make the dough into small balls.
8. Flatten the ball with the edges of the finger to a shallow shape.
9. Press the edges into the pleats.
10. Place the prepared modak mixture into the middle. Then adjust the pleats together until they give the good shape.
11. Make all the balls like this.
12. Take the steamer bowl add the water to it.
13. Then place the cloth in a bowl, Place the prepared modaks on the cloth. Close the bowl with lid.
14. Switch on the stove and steam for 10 to 15 minutes.
15. Open the lid, leave it till the steam goes away.
16. Finally, the modak recipe is ready. This is favorite sweet to Lord Ganesh.
